An evening with Eva Stachniak, a Toronto author, took place on February 8, 2017 launching her new novel The Chosen Maiden (released in January 2017) about the dancer Bronislava Nijinska and Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes. The event was organized by the Polish Language and Literature Program at the U of T at the Robert Gill Theatre in the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies of the U of T.
During the evening members of the Council for the Support of Polish Studies sold copies of the book. Eva Stachniak very generously donated proceeds from the sale to support the Polish Language and Literature program.
